Hay mulch stops weeds, saves water and satiates worms.

Hay mulch shades the soil, locking in moisture and blocking weeds from competing with our vegetables. What seems like a drawback, the fact that hay rots boosts soil by increasing organic matter and feeding earthworms. The whole point of farming is to help green things grow, not to kill them. We’ll never use herbicides and with hay mulch we don’t even need to kill weeds with tilling.
