No‑till means leaving soil un-plowed. Keeping microbes underground protected from UV and dry air. And without tilling machine blades spinning through the soil, earthworm lives are saved. Our farm has a one-time exception for new garden beds where slope needs to be flattened, the rest is left for living pathways
